Profile of Dua & Co.

Dua & Co. is a two partner firm of Chartered Accountants that was established in 1990. The firm has grown organically and as well as offering Accountancy services, we now offer business consultancy to SMEs.

The firm was located in the Baker Street Area, W1 and has since moved to offices in Harrow, Middlesex to accommodate the firm's growth. These new premises also allow for excellent client facilities such as training, conference and boardrooms.  Recently the firm has acquired office space in South Molton Street for meeting Central London clients. 

The client base is well diversified and our clients operate in a number of sectors, from telecommunications and retail, to service orientated, manufacturing and professional sectors. A number of our clients operate world-wide, including Europe and USA.

Rakesh Dua, Managing Partner

Rakesh graduated from Aberystwyth University in Economics and Accounting. He was recruited by a top-twenty Firm and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1987. Rakesh is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of the Institute of Directors. In the early days of Dua & Co., Rakesh was a part-time lecturer at Middlesex Business School. Rakesh is chief executive of the Dua Group and specialises in the following areas: -

• Business Start-ups and high growth SMEs
• Strategic Planning, company direction and business planning
• Problem-solving
• Accounting, Tax and Business issues for subsidiaries of group companies with a UK presence
• Management coaching

Rakesh has advised clients on buying and selling businesses. He has also been a Financial Director and currently advises several companies at a senior level. He has also successfully sold an IT Recruitment company that he was involved in for several years as an Adviser.

Barry Gordon, Business Development Partner

In addition to being a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, Barry also has a specialist Tax Qualification. Barry trained with a Big 5 Firm and his area of expertise is UK taxation, family-owned businesses and personal service companies.
